Parousia / New Jerusalem Day was introduced for the first time in 2016. This holiday was conceptualized by Joshua Trent, the founder of Iron Scepter Concepts. It takes place each year on the first Sunday in August. This is close to the date, August 10th, when the Second Temple fell in 70 AD. Jesus created a new temple – Himself and His body, His followers.
We celebrate His “Parousia,” which is Greek for “presence.” We also celebrate the presence of the New Jerusalem, the city of God, where Jesus dwells today with His people. Please see our articles for a deeper description of these realities.
